Lifecycle and permission map
Separate responses to project inquiries, editorial subscriptions and necessary operational communication. Define entry, confirmation, preference changes, pauses and exit for each purpose.
Deliverable: Audience-purpose map, eligibility rules and an explicit stop policy.
Content and message design
Prepare welcome, education and appropriately contextual commercial drafts. Connect each message to a real published resource or a specific conversation, with clear sender identity and no invented urgency.
Deliverable: Reviewed subject lines, text/HTML drafts, relevant calls to action and content dependencies.
Provider and integration review
Evaluate existing tools before selecting another platform. Review authentication, Reply-To, unsubscribe, suppression and delivery-event handling under the actual provider and sending requirements.
Deliverable: Scoped configuration/integration plan and isolated tests; external changes require approval.
Measurement and operating handover
Distinguish subscription confirmation, provider acceptance, observable delivery, useful replies and commercial outcomes. Treat opens and clicks as limited signals, not automatic qualification.
Deliverable: Definitions, responsible owners, exception handling and a measured pilot plan.
